ETO Doors began its business with a sole focus on quality, beautiful wood doors. As the Company has expanded, the inclusion of other door varieties has too.
While we will always believe in the durability and uniqueness of wood doors, we would be remiss to omit fiberglass doors as part of our selection. Fiberglass doors have been on the construction market for many years, and through constant redevelopment and adjustments, many fiberglass doors could now rick some of the keenest eyes in mill work.
The Benefits of Fiberglass
Fiberglass doors do not require as much maintenance as a wood door, so what you may lose in wood grain uniqueness, you can gain in the durability and flexibility of use. It is important to remember that whatever material selected, doors do require a certain level of maintenance, especially when finishing/staining is done at home.
Most brands of fiberglass come unfinished/unstained. This means you will have the opportunity to determine the final color and finish of your doors. Fiberglass doors are finished with a polyurethane stain- we recommend checking with your door manufacturer, as many have preferred staining brands and special instructions. For example, ThermaTru has it’s own staining system, called Same-Day Stain, providing a one-day staining process, http://www.thermatru.com/products/entry/stain/index.aspx.
You are not limited to a basic slab door when you decide to use Fiberglass. Many fiberglass door manufacturers have a diverse selection of doors, including those with windows (lites). ETO Doors sells, Plastpro, ThermaTru and Jen Weld fiberglass doors. Click on www.etodoors.com and enter the search term “fiberglass doors”, to see our selection of our fiberglass doors.
